The Health and safety at Work Act 1974 and the Management of Health and safety at Work Regulations 1999 require that an employer have in place suitable arrangements for managing health and safety in their organisation and that relevant Risk Assessments are undertaken and acted upon.
If you are an employer this is your duty. It is a criminal offence not to have systems in place.
